The history of Christian presence in Bikaner goes back to the beginning of 20th century. There were Goans, Engineers and Diplomats from France, England and Ireland entrusted with responsible jobs in the palace and they pleaded for a sanctified sanctuary where prayers and worship could be held. At first the station was visited by priests from Jodhpur who ministered to the Catholics who were working in the service of the Raja at Bikaner. Later Maharaja Ganga Singh helped the Christian community to build a Church in 1937. Fr. Joachim Coelho, the first resident Priest, appointed in 1959, served Bikaner parish for 21 years. In 1965 land was bought for the school and the Bikaner Boys’ School was opened by Fr. Cedric Fernandez and Fr. Cyriac Vally. Later the Mission Sisters of Ajmer also started Sophia School there. In 1987 the school and the parish were handed over to the Congregation of St Theresa (CST) who developed the station and extended the educational and Parish ministry. The consecration of St Francis Xavier Church took place on 9th September, 2006 by Most. Rev. Oswald Gracias, the Archbishop of Agra. A beautiful Grotto also was erected and was blessed in April 2012 by Most. Rev. Oswald Lewis, the Bishop of Jaipur.

The Presence of Catholics in Churu traces back to 1964. Catholic nurses who migrated from Kerala were working in different hospitals in Churu. Catholic Priests used to come from Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner or Sikar to conduct prayer services and celebrate Holy Mass. In the year 1991 land was purchased by the Congregation of St Theresa (CST) in order to build a School, Church and a Convent. In the year 2000 Little Flower school was opened and in the same year The Adoration Sisters of the Satna Province (SABS) established their convent in a rented house at Nai Sadak. Fr. Augustine Thekkel, CST, was the first resident priest. Rt. Rev. Ignatius Menezes of Ajmer- Jaipur diocese blessed the Little Flower School on 18th July 2000. The newly built Little Flower Priest House and Little Flower Convent were blessed and inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Ignatius Menezes and Very Rev. Fr. John Mundackal, the Provincial Superior respectively on 10th September 2004.

The Superior of the Congregation of St Theresa requested Rt. Rev. Dr. Ignatius Menezes, Bishop of Ajmer to grant permission to open an ashram at Hanumangarh on 24th May, 1994. The Ashram was inaugurated on 14th March, 1999. The Land was bought for the purpose of building the School and the Convent in 1997. Fr. Sebastian Kalapura, C.S.T. and F.C.C. Sisters started residing in a rented building and opened a school. Later on the new school building was put up in the purchased land. The Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC) purchased land and constructed a Convent. The Provincialate of Khrist Jyoti Province of Punjab – Rajasthan was constructed and blessed in 2004.

In the year 2003, the Congregation of St Theresa (CST) Khrist Jyoti Province, purchased 25 bighas land on Nagaur road in Nokha. In the year 2009 very Rev. Fr. Thomas Anjilivelil, Provincial Superior of Khrist Jyoti Province, invited Franciscan Handmaids of Good Shepherd Sisters (FHGS) to the province to render their service in the new station and opened the convent. Fr. Sebastian Kalapura was appointed as the first Priest-in-charge of the station and manager of the school, named Little Flower Convent School. On 5th April 2010, Rev. Fr. Thomas Anjilivelil, Provincial Superior blessed and opened the station at a simple Liturgical Ceremony. Sr. Shiny was appointed as the first principal. On 23rd April 2013, the new school building was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. John Kappiarumalayil, Provincial Superior of Khrist Jyoti Province.

The mission station of Sikar was entrusted to the The Congregation of St Theresa (CST) by the Bishop of Ajmer-Jaipur. Rev. Fr Bosco Vetticka CST was appointed as the first Manager of St.Mary’s School on 20th Dec 1989. The school was initially inaugurated on 16th July 1990 by Shri. Pradeep Sen. IAS, the District Collector of Sikar, and blessed by Very. Rev. Fr. Francis Andrade, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Ajmer. The foundation stone for the school was laid by Most Rev. Dr. Ignatius Menezes, the Bishop of Ajmer-Jaipur diocese on 11th July, 1993 and the new building was inaugurated on 06th December, 1994 at the present site, near Circuit House, Jaipur Road – Sikar. The Adoration Sisters of the Satna Province (SABS) established their convent here on 16th August 1990. A beautiful, St Mary’s Church, was blessed and consecrrated by Rt Rev. Oswald Lewis on 15th September, 2012.

Suratgarh was periodically visited by C.S.T Fathers for the pastoral care from Sacred Heart Mission, Sri Ganganagar and offered Holy Mass in an old Church which was used by different denominations of the military personals. In 1984, the CST Fathers opened a house in a rented building. In 1988, Franciscan Clarist Congregation (F.C.C) was invited to render their valuable service in the mission. The Congregation of St Theresa (CST) was entrusted with the pastoral needs of this station in 1997. The CST priest, residing in Khetri Nagar was visiting this station and looked after the spiritual needs. Later in 2003, the congregation purchased a piece of land for the purpose of building a Church, School and Convent at the district headquarters at Jhunjhunu and the priest’s residence was shifted to Jhunjhunu in 2004 continuing the pastoral service at Khetri Nagar and Pilani. Fr. Kurian Moonjeli (C.S.T.) was the first Priest who started residing at the place in 2004. A small Chapel for Sunday Service was built and Rt. Rev. Oswald Lewis Bishop of Jaipur blessed it on 4th February 2007 in the presence of Rev. Fr. Thomas Anjilivelil the Provincial Superior of Khrist Jyoti Province. The Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC) was invited to collaborate in the evangelical and educational ministry in 2006.

Since 1975 the Catholic Priests of Ajmer–Jaipur diocese visited Khetri Nagar for the pastoral care of the Christians. The Congregation of St Theresa (CST) Priests were entrusted with the pastoral needs of this station in 1997 and a priest started to live in a rented flat near the Sophia School. The Mission Sisters of Ajmer had opened a school here in 1975. In 1984 a new school building was put up and in 1991 a Church was built here. Late Fr. Cyriac vally was the first resident priest. Later in 1997 the station was handed over to the C.S.T. Fathers.
